Rubric:     Monitoring and certification of seismic constructions
Key words: accelerogram, seismograph, earthquake intensity, energy criteria, linear oscillator, deterministic analysis
Annotation:

The analysis of accelerograms recorded both on the free surface and on the bridge structures during a strong earthquake was carried out. 17 records of the earthquake that occurred on January 1, 2023 in the Rio Dell area – Highway 101 / Bridge over the Ili River (USA) are considered. Energy criteria are calculated for each accelerogram: Arias, absolute  cumulative velocity and specific energy density.

A comparison of these criteria has been performed. The conclusion is made about the low efficiency of energy criteria for the analysis of seismic resistance of structures. The fluctuations of the bridge's branded span structure into vertical and horizontal vibrations are considered in more detail. Based on the analysis of the calculated displacements, a conclusion is made about the effectiveness of seismic isolation of the pillars of the corporate span.
