Seismic Resistance of High-rise Buildings. International Achievements and Ukrainian Experience

Annotation:
The results of the research carried out at the NIISK on the design of high-rise buildings in seismic regions are presented. A generalization of the international experience in the design of highrise buildings and construction was carried out. A generalization of methods for determining the seismic load in different countries  and recommendations for the design of high-rise buildings is given. Examples of the construction of high-rise buildings in Kiev, in seismic regions of Ukraine and a number of foreign countries are considered. The modern design systems used for construction of high-rise buildings are analyzed in details.
