The Organizing Committee of the17th World Conference on Earthquake Engineering (17WCEE) has been making arrangement to set the new date of the 17WCEE scheduled to be held this September in Sendai, Japan which has been postponed for a year due to the global COVID-19 outbreak.
We are now happy to let you know that we have now finalized the revised date. The new date is September 27 (Mon) - October 2 (Sat), 2021. The sessions of the conference will not be shortened. Additionally, the venue, Sendai International Center at Sendai in Miyagi Prefecture in Japan, remains the same.
Regarding COVID-19, we will handle the matter accordingly in cooperation with relevant parties. In order to prevent infection, there is a possibility that the participation style may be changed into remote participation through internet access for some participants.
Details of the conference schedule and other events will be announced on our website and Newsletter, etc. when decided.
