Issue: #2-2025

Introduction. The article discusses new portal designs for which Russian patents for utility models have been obtained: № 230318, № 230921, № 230898, № 231705. To determine their actual bearing capacity and deformability, the authors propose a method for their experimental tests and a test bench.

Aim. The aim of the study is to develop new designs of portal structures and testing methods that allow for close-to-real loading, while reducing labor intensity and ensuring the required safety.

Materials and methods. A special stand has been developed for testing portal structures, which provides for horizontal installation and loading through mounting blocks installed both on the portal and on supports on the power floor.

Results.

The developed method of testing portal structures makes it possible to ensure their lateral stability with special elements, apply a close real load and install measuring instruments to determine the strain stress in the section.

Conclusions.

1. The authors have proposed four new technical solutions for portal structures, for which patents of the Russian Federation for utility models have been obtained: № 230318, № 230921, № 230898, № 231705.

2. As a result of the conducted research, a test procedure for triangular and combined portal structures has been developed and substantiated, which makes it possible to obtain reliable data on their strength characteristics and bearing capacity.
