Annotation:
The current international approaches to seismic design and seismic hazard assessment for nuclear power units have been analyzed taking into account the lessons of the accident at Fukushima-1 NPP in Japan. These approaches will be considered in the revision of the national regulations for earthquake resistance of nuclear power units.
